Chungnam National University Museum
• The Chungnam National University Museum was founded on April 28, 1968 to gather, store, and exhibit Korea’s traditional cultural resources and raise the cultural awareness of the local people.
It consists of exhibition halls, academic research rooms, an auditorium, an artifact storage room, an artifact organizing room, a library, a museum shop, an administration office, and a mechanical room. It currently possesses about 2,000 pieces of historical artifacts and about 1,000 pieces of teaching materials. The exhibition hall displays in chronological order the cores and harpoons of the Paleolithic Age, earthenware with striped patterns and various stoneware pieces from the Neolithic Age, patternless earthenware and the bronze swords of the Bronze Age, various earthenware pieces from the Three Empires, celadon pieces from the Goryeo Dynasty, porcelain, paintings, and books of the Joseon Dynasty, and modern folk resources and teaching materials.
